Facilities

Overview

We are located inside the Unitarian Society of New Haven: 700 Hartford Tpk, Hamden, CT. Our partnership with the Society has been very beneficial and we are proud to be working with them.

The external doors remain locked at all times for student safety. The entire building is wheelchair accessible and features a unisex bathroom. Spaces are regularly cleaned and maintained by the Society.

Common Spaces

Students have supervised access to a full kitchen with appliances such as a fridge/freezer, microwave, oven, and stove. Next to the kitchen is a large cafeteria/meeting hall where we eat lunch together.

There is a stone patio behind the building with a picnic table where students can eat lunch or sit during their free time. Teachers sometimes hold classes outside if the weather is nice.

We also have access to a large, quiet room in the back where students can study. There is a grand piano for use during music classes or free time.

Instructional Classrooms

We currently have two dedicated classrooms, although teachers also often hold classes outdoors or in the common spaces. We are ready and excited to expand in the future!

Our STEM classroom is used for marketing, math, and science classes. It has a sink and plenty of counter space for conducting labs.

Our humanities classroom is used for English, history, and art classes. It has an old-school chalkboard and a large window with great views of the nature outside.
